Leona Lion Arrived with a Roar, February 2008

Leona the Lion recently took a break from reading stories with her family on WGBH’s popular PBS KIDS series Between the Lions to visit Little Sprouts Enrichment Centers, an early education program with seven locations in Massachusetts.  On February 22, Leona and her puppeteer Pam Arciero began her tour at Little Sprouts in Andover, where she performed for over 85 preschool and kindergarten children.  “It was such a joy to see the children laughing and reading with Leona”, noted Kate O’Connor, Executive Director of Little Sprouts in Andover. “The children will be talking about this for days!”
