Little Sprouts in Methuen has recently been re-accredited by the
National Association for the Education of Young Children

Methuen, Ma. May 6, 2008- Little Sprouts in Methuen was recently awarded re-accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), of which it has been a member since 1997.  The accreditation is a process that takes a one year self-study.  During this time classroom observations are being completed, parent and teacher surveys are being filled out along with creating center and classroom based portfolios.  The Little Sprouts Centers in Haverhill and Andover are also NAEYC accredited. Being an NAEYC member allows Little Sprouts a wide array of resources through NAEYC.  All members of NAEYC are offered benefits that improve teaching children, raise the quality of early childhood education programs, help build the early childhood profession and be able to promote public support and policies for young children.  Only 5% of early childhood centers in the US are accredited by NAEYC.  “The NAEYC accreditation mark represents that a center is the highest quality care that one can receive.” noted Jessica Todisco, Community Outreach Specialist for Little Sprouts. “It is a great accomplishment for Little Sprouts to receive this re-accreditation for the 5th consecutive time.”
