Little Sprouts chosen as guest on National Education News!

Merrimack Valley, MA. May 2, 2008 – Little Sprouts was recently selected by the producers of the Education News Parents Can Use, a TV series produced by the Department of Education in Washington D.C. and broadcasts on national PBS stations, hundreds of cable access channels, and TLC.  The monthly show focuses on schools, learning, and the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 for parents and anyone else with an interest in education vital information about getting involved in children's learning.  The April broadcast was titled “Early Childhood Education: Good Start, Grow Smart” and Little Sprouts was personally invited to represent excellence in the field by the Department of Education.  Meghan McGinley Crowe, Executive Director of Literacy was interviewed on Little Sprouts’ Early Reading First program and was asked questions such as “what activities can parents do- in and out of the home- to help lay the important foundation for reading and learning?”    “It was such an honor that Little Sprouts had been chosen to showcase the importance of early education for parents nationally,” said Meghan McGinley Crowe.  “Our students, families and teachers, have witnessed this first hand, and now we get to spread the word.”  To watch Meghan and the Early Childhood Education: Good Start, Grow Smart segment, please visit http://connectlive.com/events/ednews/
