Marsha Sonnenberg is a nationally known educator with broad expertise across the Pk-12 teaching and learning landscape; she is perhaps best known for her contributions to improving the performance of special-population students who have fallen behind or are at risk of doing so. She is also an experienced presenter and professional development trainer.
She provides instruction, training, and consultation to school districts, individual campuses, and specific personnel. Among her accomplishments is the development and implementation of wide and extensive early childhood programs that included 200 early childhood classrooms in one district.
Ms. Sonnenberg has previously been involved in evaluating programs, working with private companies in getting "AT-RISK" kids back on track, and assisting with numerous school districts in developing and implementing plans to raise student achievement. She is active as a consultant/advisor to the Texas Governor's Business Council and reviews Federal Grants and state grants for Early Reading Programs in Texas and the nation.
Many seek her advice and she generously shares it with folks who range from a struggling first-year teacher to an interested-in-reading First Lady.
