To receive accreditation by the NAEYC, all aspects of a program are inspected including health and safety, teacher qualifications, the quality of interactions between teachers and children, and the nature of the child’s experience. This accreditation program has been offered since 1985 as part of a national, voluntary system which reflects best practices in the field of early education.
