Executive Director

I've been with Little Sprouts since: February 1994.   I began my career as a toddler teacher in the Methuen center. In early 1996 I became the Director of our Haverhill center and I was there for 6 years. I have also had the opportunity to direct in our Lowell and Andover sites.

My educational background is: I have a Bachelors of Science from Keene State College in Business Management. While at KSC I also minored in Early Childhood Education. I am Director II EEC Qualified and High/Scope Preschool Certified.

Fun facts about me: I enjoy spending my free time with my husband and 3 daughters at the beach at any time of the year. I also enjoy traveling and snuggling up with a good book.

Melissa Hubert
Associate Director Infant/Toddlers

I've been with Little Sprouts since: 1999. I started as a Camp Counselor for Big Sprouts Summer Program and have been a teacher in infants, toddlers, and preschool.

My educational background is: Attended UMass Lowell for Music Education and am currently enrolled in Northern Essex Community College for Early Childhood Education degree.

Fun facts about me: I love to scrapbook and am learning how to play the piano.  I enjoy vacationing at Lake Winnesquam, NH and I belong to a community service based sorority.

Lisa Jones Melo
Associate Director Infant/Toddlers

I've been with Little Sprouts since: 1996. I started in 1996 as a Toddler/Preschool Teacher. From 1997 to 1998, I was the Kindergarten Teacher, and from 1999 until 2007, I was a Preschool Teacher and Team Leader, and have just recently accepted the role as the Preschool Associate Director.

My educational background is: I am working towards my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, and come with many years of experience in the early childhood field. I worked at the Lawrence YMCA as a group leader and Site Coordinator for the School Age and Summer Program from 1990 until 1996. While I was at the YMCA, I also substituted in their Preschool and Kindergarten classrooms. In 1992, I worked at the Leahy School in Lawrence as a one-on-one for an at risk third-grade student.

Fun facts about me: I like to draw, create arts and crafts, read, and spend time with my family.

Hours of Operation

Open Monday to Friday 6:00am - 6:00pm
Saturday care is available on request

Center closes for the following holidays:

New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day and the following day, Christmas Day.

Closes at 12:00 noon on Martin Luther King Day for parent/teacher conferences, and closed last Friday in August for CHILD Conference.
