Our promise: your child will enter school early-reading proficient.

Our proprietary Budding Scholars™ Approach is based upon the most effective teaching methodologies and over 25 years of experience, and has been proven successful through scientific research.

Utilizing this approach, Little Sprouts’ graduates not only enter formal school ready to excel, they outperform their peers on multiple measures of early reading proficiency:

  • 93% of Little Sprouts’ graduates are early-reading proficient (compared with 59% of Massachusetts 3rd graders scoring reading proficient)
  • 64% of graduates are advanced in reading proficiency (compared with only 14% of other preschools and 11% of Massachusetts 3rd graders)
  • Over 25% are gifted in reading proficiency (our graduates are 11 times more likely to score 'gifted' than other children their age)
  • Children at-risk for reading failure as defined by their low-income status are graduating Little Sprouts meeting all benchmarks, and average in the 63rd percentile

Our Budding Scholars approach focuses on four key areas of development:

Citizen
Your child’s ability to share and communicate with others is just as important as learning their ABCs and 123s. That is why Little Sprouts focuses on teaching your child the value of community. We use the HIGH/SCOPE® approach to develop your child’s ability to build relationships, which is the foundation of their ultimate well-being.

Scholar
When it come to literacy, we believe there is no such thing as starting too soon. Using our research-based curriculum, your child will gain the early literacy and language skills that will determine their future academic success. Our teachers work with your child every day to develop literacy skills.
Mind
The use of an array of fun and creative activities will build the children's cognitive development, challenge their minds, and keep them engaged for the whole day. Our teachers will stimulate your child’s creative expression by exposing them to a variety of art materials and activities.

Body
Your child will build physical strength, control, balance, and agility through games, tummy time, Musical Sprouts, and yoga. Your child will begin to understand the concept of personal space and learn how to behave appropriately in group activities that involve smaller spaces.

Testimonials
I have two little girls, both attending Little Sprouts in Andover. Grace, my oldest daughter, has been attending since September of 2007. Being that this is our first experience with outside day care, it couldn’t have been better. The addition of the music program was absolutely fantastic. The curriculum is amazing. I am so happy with what I hear and see Grace doing at home from what she has learned at school. She loves books and often reads to us!
