Well-researched early education curriculum tools have been proven successful in helping preschoolers get the best start to school.

To support our Budding Scholars approach to learning, Little Sprouts teachers utilize well-researched curriculum tools which have been proven successful in early literacy.

Curriculum tools used to support our early education and preschool programs:

Curiosity Corner
Curiosity Corner is a comprehensive program for three- and four-year-old preschoolers designed to provide a strong foundation in language and literacy, mathematics, science, listening and social skills, creative expression, and positive self-esteem through a holistic, thematic approach to instruction. The well-structured thematic units used are aligned with state and national early learning guidelines.

Peep & The Big Wide World
Young children learn science best through daily natural interactions with their world. Little Sprouts utilizes science curriculum based upon the children’s program 'Peep & the Big Wide World' provided by WGBH, the Boston PBS affiliate. WGBH has provided curriculum kits, teacher’s manuals, and DVDs for each Little Sprouts preschool classroom.

Between the Lions
This family of library-dwelling lions teaches preschool children essential early literacy skills indicative of future academic success through a year-long curriculum developed by WGBH. Exceptional children’s literature combines with a multi-media approach to teaching in order to scaffold early language and literacy learning. Little Sprouts uses this well-researched curriculum, published by Sopris West, to structure the daily preschool curriculum and provide instruction in literacy, pre-writing, math, science, art, social studies, and health.
