Director of Development and Grant Writing:

Are you passionate about influencing your community on a local, state, and national level? The Leadership and Literacy Foundation seeks a proven fundraising professional to take a leadership role in effective development, planning and execution of all resource development strategies, capital campaign, fundraising activities and special events. This person must be highly motivated, a self starter with amazing initiative, who can “make things happen.” Incumbent must possess demonstrated success in leadership positions, show outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and possess dynamic interpersonal skills for effective partnerships with customers, community and staff members. Applicant must have bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of proven experience in fundraising and development at the executive level; maintaining $600,000 in new or increased gifts, grants during first 15 months and subsequent years in excess $1M annually. Teacher Responsibilities Include:

Qualifications

  • 3 credits in Human Growth and Development or Associates/Bachelors Degree in ECE or related field (preferred)
  • OCCS Lead Teacher Qualification (preferred)
  • 1 year or more of experience in similar child care setting for age groups infant - school age (preferred)

Skills
Flexible, oral and written communication, leadership and initiative taking, lesson planning and explicit curriculum development, patience, and a love of children.

Degree Level Attained
High School Diploma; Associates/Bachelors Degree (preferred)

Accreditation/Certifications
Office for Child Care Services Lead Teacher Certification
