Susan Leger-Ferraro created Little Sprouts Child Enrichment Centers over 25 years ago in her apartment in Methuen.  Since then, the company has grown to incorporate over 100 staff and 20 Administrators. 

Little Sprouts offers High Scope Teacher Certification through our High Scope Teacher Certified Facilitators. We currently have 4 Facilitators that certify classrooms, teachers and teach the High Scope philosophy. There are currently 24 teachers attending the High Scope Certification training. We are scheduling for the next group to be trained in September.

Little Sprouts utilizes best management practices and offers training in 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Susan Leger-Ferraro
Chief Executive Officer

Susan Leger-Ferraro is the CEO and founder of Little Sprouts. Susan is responsible for the marketing and financial integrity of the centers.  She oversees the daily operations of the centers to ensure complete family satisfaction.  You may see Susan at the Family Trainings, Family Round Table Meetings, as well as throughout the day at different centers.

Melissa Leger
Chief Financial Officer

Melissa Leger is the Financial Manager for the Little Sprouts.  She is responsible for all accounting aspects of Little Sprouts.  Her duties include financial statements, tuition statements, center budgets and collection activities. 

Krysta O'Neill
Chief Operating Officer

Krysta O'Neill has worked in corporate operations for over 15 years. Krysta was a founder of Netspoke, a web and audio conferencing company, and led the company through rapid growth to over $13MM that earned Netspoke a ranking in the Inc. 500 in both 2004 and 2005 as one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. Most recently, she managed the company through acquisition by Premiere Global and served as integration manager. Krysta currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Stoneham Municipal Credit Union and serves on the non-profit Board of the Leadership & Literacy Foundation.

Gina Weishaupt
Marketing and Outreach Specialist

Gina has 17 years of experience as a Sales and Marketing executive. Most recently she was the Director of Marketing Partnerships with Yahoo! where she designed integrated marketing plans with Fortune 500 companies like Apple Computer, Gillette, Reebok, Gateway, Charles Schwab and Wells Fargo. Her career transition to Coaching finds her as an Executive Coach specializing in motivational training, goal setting and facilitating positive change in the workplace. As a Sales and Marketing Consultant, she works with her clients to develop innovative marketing strategies that get results and by encouraging them to maximize their strengths to get specific, desired outcomes.

Alison Boucher
Regional Director and parent of 2 Little Sprouts students.

I've been with Little Sprouts since: 1994.  I've been a toddler teacher, a preschool teacher, and a kindergarten teacher in addition to directing our Lowell Center for 4 years. I've been Director of the Andover center for the past 3 years.

My educational background is: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.  I'm currently pursuing a BA from Salem State. Also, DEEC Director II and High/Scope certified as well as 7 Habits Facilitator.

Fun facts about me: I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. We love being outside, going camping and hanging out by the pool. Although summer is our favorite season, we enjoy the fall too because we are Patriots fans!

Meghan McGinley Crowe
Executive Director of Literacy

I've been with Little Sprouts since: 1998. Since then I've been a counselor at Big Sprouts Summer Camp, a Toddler and Preschool float, an assistant director, and Executive Director of School Age Programming. I've also directed the out-of-school youth programming and taught Adult Basic Education courses. I've been leading our literacy projects since 2003.

My educational background is: Bachelor's of Science degree in Geology and Child Development from Tufts University. Master's of Education, specializing in Early Literacy and Literature from Cambridge College.

Fun facts about me: My favorite hobby is playing games. All games! I love games like Texas Hold'em, Cranium, Balderdash and Risk and obscure games like Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride. In my spare time I spend time playing with my two pug dogs and reading, especially science-fiction, dystopian novels, and young adult literature. A fun fact about me is that I love to travel and have visited Ireland and Iceland (both twice!), England, and Russia!

Kate O'Connor
Executive Director of Andover @ Industrial Park

I've been with Little Sprouts since: 2003. I have been an infant, toddler, preschool, and kindergarten teacher in that time and I am OCCS certified for all.

My educational background is: Bachelor's in Elem. Education from Boston University and currently pursuing my Master's in Education from Salem State.

Fun facts about me: I have worked for Little Sprouts for three years and I also work part-time at Stop & Shop for eight years!! I like going to the beach, reading lots of new books, hanging out with friends, and I love to buy shoes!! Flip-flops are my favorite; I probably have every color possible.

Maureen Bly

I've been with Little Sprouts since: 2005 

My educational background is: BA in Early Childhood Education and Care from UMass Amherst and Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from NECCO. I have been in the Early Childhood Education field for over 27 years.

Fun facts about me: In my spare time I enjoy relaxing with a good book, planting and gardening, and spending time with my husband, my two sons and my daughter-in law. I also enjoy watching my son Dan play hockey both for private teams as well as for the high school varsity team.

Heather Couture
Executive Director of Lawrence @ Riverwalk Mills and parent of 2 Little Sprouts students.

I've been with Little Sprouts since: 1995. I've been with Little Sprouts for 12 years. I started teaching in preschool and have been a Director for the last 8 years. 

My educational background is: I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and am working towards a Bachelors Degree from Salem State College. 

Fun facts about me: I have two children, age 9 and 6. I enjoy spending time at the beach, going for walks with my family, and attending my children's various sports activities.

Janet Moro
Executive Director of Lowell @ Cross Point Towers

I've been with Little Sprouts since: October 2006. 

My educational background is: I have over 18 years of experience working with children. I have worked in various capacities and enjoy every age group! I am Director II qualified from The Department of Early Education and Care including Lead Teacher for Infant/Toddler and Preschool. I am currently finishing my Bachelor's Degree in Human Services. I will be graduating in May, 2007. 

Fun facts about me: I attended photography school right out of High School. I worked in that field for a short time and now it's a hobby for me. I have two wonderful sons that I love to spend time with. We enjoy going to the movies, playing games and traveling.

Erica Reed
Executive Director of Methuen @ Valley Office Park and parent of 3 Little Sprouts students.

I've been with Little Sprouts since:  February 1994.   I began my career as a toddler teacher in the Methuen center. In early 1996 I became the Director of our Haverhill center and I was there for 6 years. I have also had the opportunity to direct in our Lowell and Andover sites.

My educational background is: I have a Bachelors of Science from Keene State College in Business Management. While at KSC I also minored in Early Childhood Education. I am Director II EEC Qualified and High/Scope Preschool Certified. 

Fun facts about me: I enjoy spending my free time with my husband and 3 daughters at the beach at any time of the year. I also enjoy traveling and snuggling up with a good book.

Fun facts about me: I like to plan fun activities on the weekend with my son and all the other children around me. I myself have a fun personality. I can be authoritative sometimes but I also love to keep a smile on peoples face so I can also be real silly too.

Kristin Thomson
Executive Director of Westford @ Nashoba Valley

I've been with Little Sprouts since: March 2006. In September of 2006 I was promoted to Toddler Team Leader and in March of 2007 I became the Infant/Toddler Associate Director for the Lawrence center.

My educational background is: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Essex Community College. I am currently pursuing my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am EEC Infant/Toddler and Preschool Lead Teacher Certified. I have also passed my MTELs.

Fun facts about me: In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and fiancé and am very busy planning my wedding for June of 2008. I enjoy shopping too!
