An engaging Infant Care program that will enrich their development: Infants at Little Sprouts.

Ages: 4 weeks to 15 months

Ratio: 2 teachers to 7 infants

Your child’s educational journey gets off to a strong start in the Little Sprouts infant room. Our infant care program is designed to create a smooth, easy transition from home to school.

We know that humans develop more in the first two years of life than at any other time. In fact, your child’s brain grows the most in her first three years as she becomes aware of the world around her and begins her transformation into a social being. That’s why our educators make the most of every moment with your child, engaging her with activities that stimulate her growing mind.

Individualized schedules, nurturing primary caregivers, and safe classrooms ensure that your baby's days are as enriching as if she was with you.

How our Budding Scholars approach helps your infant develop:

Citizen
This is the prime age for your child to develop her social skills. To give your child a head start, we specifically design our infant rooms to encourage close interaction between small groups of children and teachers. Your infant will discover the joy of sharing and playing with others through teacher-directed games of peek-a-boo using colorful scarves and eye-level mirrors.
Scholar
When it comes to literacy, we believe there is no such thing as starting too soon. Every day, our infant care teachers will work with your infant to build her language and literacy skills through meaningful conversation, hands-on exploration, and playtime. Even storytime becomes an interactive experience in which teachers point out words and pictures, demonstrate how to hold a book and turn the pages, and make connections to your child’s everyday life.
Mind
Our teachers will stimulate your child’s cognitive abilities by exposing her to a variety of art materials and activities. Your infant will create collages with cotton, felt, and glue, and begin to understand that materials have different textures. Through simple, fun activities such as scribbling on a page with a marker, your child will also gain the fundamental experience she needs to become a skilled writer.
Body
For young infants, our teachers use daily belly or tummy time to build head/neck strength and control. Your child will also giggle and smile as she learns how to feed herself Cheerios and develops her pincer grip in the process.

For standing and walking infants, we use the baby ballet bar and mirror to boost leg strength and balancing ability.

Milestones
Before graduating from the infant room, your child will be able to achieve specific milestones.
