Ages 2.9 years to 5 years
The preschool and pre-K years are a time of tremendous growth as children expand their processing, social, and foundational learning skills. During this developmental stage, children are eager to learn, explore, and express themselves. Our preschool and pre-K classrooms are designed to support this critical period by fostering independence, creativity and a love of learning. We provide a rich, engaging environment that encourages hands-on learning, social interaction, and skill-building through play across key areas of your child’s development.

Preschoolers and pre-K children are naturally curious and eager to connect with others. Our program nurtures this curiosity and fosters strong relationships by providing experiences that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and meaningful play. As children explore early literacy, math, and foundational academic skills, they also learn empathy, cooperation, and conflict resolution through guided social interactions and group play. Our caring teachers model positive behavior, support emotional growth, and help children build the self-confidence they need to thrive—both in learning and in life.
Growing strong bodies, bright minds, and creative spirits
As children grow, they develop the physical, cognitive, and creative skills that form the foundation for lifelong learning. In our schools, active play on state-of-the-art playgrounds helps build strength, balance, and coordination, while fine motor skills are strengthened through hands-on activities like drawing, cutting, and writing. Language and literacy development is woven into every part of the day through storytelling, singing, and engaging reading instruction that builds vocabulary and fosters a love of books. At the same time, our thoughtfully designed environments invite children to explore the world through art, music, and imaginative play—sparking creativity, building confidence, and encouraging new ways of thinking and understanding.

From Day one it’s been a great experience. First time mom with a shy daughter I was filled with anxiety . My baby has shined and excelled and she has broken out of her shyness bombing with personality, learning the things needed. Worried for the school year but I know she walking outta little sprouts with the tools she need to excel in kindergarten ❤️
We are so, so happy with LS Melrose. Rena and Sydney do a fantastic job with administration, hiring, and communications. They run a great school.
Our son's teachers, Ms. Nehemie and Ms. Jean, are absolutely fantastic. They are rays of light in our life. Dropping our child off with them every day is easy, and they take such good care of him. They are so communicative and it's amazing how much detail they can remember about every baby's day. We LOVE them and so does our child!
Our boys have been at Little Sprouts in Amesbury for a year and a half and a year, respectively, and in that time the staff has become more like an extension of our family. The teachers care deeply about the well being and development of the children and aren't shy to share their concerns or highlights, which we appreciate so much. We've seen incredible growth of social skills, language skills, and more and will be so sad when age out of Little Sprouts.
Started my toddler at this school and it’s amazing! They communicate with parents well and make sure the kids are active and learning. The staff here are great! Ms.Alana is so good with my toddler as well!
