The toddler years are a time of incredible growth and discovery. At this age, children begin to assert independence, explore the world around them, and develop key skills. Toddlers are learning to communicate more effectively, form relationships, and navigate new physical and cognitive challenges. At Little Sprouts, our toddler program is specifically designed to support this critical (and busy!) stage of development, providing an environment where curiosity is encouraged, movement is celebrated, and social skills are nurtured.

Confident movers & curious thinkers

Toddlers learn best by doing—and they’re always on the move! Our program is designed to nurture both their growing minds and their developing bodies through hands-on experiences, interactive play, and plenty of room to explore. Whether they’re stacking blocks, drawing with crayons, running, or climbing, toddlers are constantly building important cognitive and physical skills.

We support critical thinking and imagination through creative play, problem-solving, and sensory exploration. At the same time, we encourage gross motor development with safe spaces for jumping, balancing, and active movement, while refining fine motor skills with engaging tools and materials. It all adds to greater independence, growing confidence, and joyful learning every step of the way.

Independent minds, growing hearts

Your toddler is discovering who they areand we’re here to support every step of that journey. Our program is designed to nurture independence, spark curiosity, and build strong social-emotional foundations. As toddlers learn to navigate their feelings, express themselves, and interact with others, we create a supportive environment that encourages empathy, cooperation, and confidence.

Language development is in full bloom at this stage, and we embrace it through rich storytelling, songs, books, and meaningful conversations. Our literacy-rich classrooms help toddlers grow their vocabulary, strengthen communication skills, and begin to express big ideas in little words.

We also offer endless opportunities for exploration and creativity. Sensory play, art, building, and nature-based experiences allow children to engage with the world in hands-on, imaginative wayslaying the groundwork for critical thinking and joyful discovery. Through our thoughtful curriculum and daily experiences, your toddler is developing the tools to be a kind, curious, and confident learner.

We are so, so happy with LS Melrose. Rena and Sydney do a fantastic job with administration, hiring, and communications. They run a great school.

Our son's teachers, Ms. Nehemie and Ms. Jean, are absolutely fantastic. They are rays of light in our life. Dropping our child off with them every day is easy, and they take such good care of him. They are so communicative and it's amazing how much detail they can remember about every baby's day. We LOVE them and so does our child!

Our boys have been at Little Sprouts in Amesbury for a year and a half and a year, respectively, and in that time the staff has become more like an extension of our family. The teachers care deeply about the well being and development of the children and aren't shy to share their concerns or highlights, which we appreciate so much. We've seen incredible growth of social skills, language skills, and more and will be so sad when age out of Little Sprouts.
