Surrounded by protected marshlands and convenient to surrounding towns such as Hyde Park, Needham, and Norwood, our Dedham school offers a serene environment for your child to learn and grow among the peaceful views of nature. Affectionately called a Little Sprouts’ “dream school,” our Dedham space was designed with parents and children in mind. Featuring several amenities, such as a private nursing room and an indoor play space with a bicycle track, both you and your child will be excited to come to school every day.

Bright, sun-drenched classrooms will stimulate your child’s mind, as cheerful colors and sounds of laughter create excitement for the day ahead. Your child will explore and play in our spacious classrooms, designed to inspire learning and discovery in every corner. Nestled next to the school, our private infant, toddler and preschool/pre-kindergarten playgrounds provide safe and fun areas for children to enjoy the outdoors.

Outdoor Playgrounds

Our outdoor spaces are designed for safety and sized for growth. Each playground is tailored to a specific age group - ensuring safe play that supports physical development and social interaction at every stage.

Discovery Space

Our active spaces are designed to strengthen coordination, balance, and muscle development through climbing, jumping, crawling, and dancing. They also encourage curiosity with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities for hands-on learning.

Music & Movement

Included weekly in all classrooms, this program blends music therapy with educational play to support developmental growth through song, instruments, sign language, and movement.

Nature Stations

Nature stations bring the outdoors in, offering hands-on exploration of natural materials and seasonal changes. These spaces spark wonder, observation, and a deep connection to the environment.

Seed & Sew

As S.E.E.D (Schools Excelling in Emotional Development) certified schools, we are dedicated to nurturing emotional intelligence, connection, and resilience in early childhood. The whole community at Little Sprouts is amazing! My son was there from 5 months - 11 months before our childcare needs changed (completely unrelated to the school). We have two children enrolled at Little Sprouts in Dedham and have experience from the infant room all the way through pre-school. All of the teachers are kind, enthusiastic and caring, and made the transition into school a breeze for both kids. Karen & Alyssa are super organized & communicative. Meet the school leadership team

Executive Director

Karen Silvia

With Little Sprouts Since 2009

Karen's experience at the location, which dates back to 1989 with "Kids Place at the VNA," includes her tenure as Teacher Assistant, Teacher, Associate Director, and finally Executive Director, the position she has held since 2013. After recognizing that her passion included working not just with children but also with the families within her community, Karen determined Little Sprouts was the perfect place to achieve her professional goals. Karen resides in Wareham with her husband, while her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson live in Florida. She enjoys sailing, listening to country music, rooting for the New England Patriots, and spending time with her family.

Assistant Director

Alyssa Paolini

With Little Sprouts Since 2010

Alyssa began her career as a float teacher before taking on the role of a lead teacher in the prekindergarten classroom. In December 2021, she accepted the position of Assistant Director.

As Assistant Director, Alyssa's role is to support classrooms and children to ensure successful curriculum implementation and growth. She collaborates closely with each educator to maintain classroom excellence.

Alyssa lives in Stoughton with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys reading on her Kindle, listening to music, spending time with family, and sharing a good pun or dad joke.

Regional Operations Manager

Leslie Flanagan

27+ Years in the Field of ECE

Leslie, with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College, began her career in 1998. She transitioned from teaching preschool and toddler programs to leadership roles, including Center Director at various corporate child care schools. In January 2024, Leslie joined Little Sprouts as the Quality Resource Manager, enhancing classroom environments and upholding health and safety standards. Promoted to Regional Manager in January 2025, Leslie is dedicated to providing high-quality care and education, fostering strong relationships with families, and promoting open communication and collaboration.
